Adventures at OMSI

NEWS: this post has been updated. Laura has provided several corrections.

OMSI is the oregon museum of science and industry, which we joined. They have some cool stuff--the Imax movie theater where we saw The Alps, for instance. They also host exhibits like the body worlds exhibit that we saw a couple weeks ago.

Laura's mom and sister came for a visit to PDX and to see body worlds themselves. Before they went to the exhibit, we checked out the rest of of the museum.

Laura and her sister in a rocket. This is NOT A ROCKET--who knew? Laura apparently. IT IS A CAPSULE. I should have read the informational sign about it. I meant, tht it was a rocket, in the sense that it was the thing that comes off the rocket at the end and drops into the ocean, but that is not a ROCKET is it a CAPSULE. Thank GOD one of us remembers space camp. Looks really comfortable.

Laura, her mom, and her sister at the make-your-own-flying-thing station. This IS NOT the make your own "flying thing station". INSTEAD, it is some kind of air current station. where you make flying things and test the air current.

NOW--you know what really went on at OMSI. (laura tore herself away from the girls next door to give this important edit).
