Fire and Cupcakes

First lesson learned this weekend: No rubbing your eyes or other body parts after chopping large jalapeno peppers! Laura made (pictured below with a fab. purse we found (but restrained ourselves from buying) in the Emporium on the Square in Paola Kansas) that mistake last night. She chopped up a large jalapeno for the dirty rice we ate for dinner. Several hours later, she took a shower and managed to coat her eyes and various other sensitive lady parts with CHILI OIL. I returned from taking the dog our for her last-pee-of-the-night to see Laura fresh out of the shower with her eyes squeezed shut, drooling, and moaning. We spent the next several minutes trying to get rid of the chili oil with eye wash and milk. I have heard that salt also works, but laura was unwilling to rub salt in her eyes!

Luckily, she was able to open her eyes this morning and decorate these cupcakes that she made for a bridal shower. She made the icing, the flowers, and the cupcakes all herself! Pretty impressive, huh?
